Newark Liberty International Airport plans to open its new $2.7 billion terminal in November and United Airlines is ready to move into 12 new gates at the New Jersey airport on Nov. 1. United will eventually occupy nearly half of the 33 gates in the new facility, and “we will increase our schedule accordingly to more than 400 flights,” Newark Chief Pilot Captain Fabian Garcia said in a memo to pilots.
