United to buy electric aircraft, hopes to launch by 2026

United Airlines and its regional airline partner Mesa Airlines have each committed to buy 100 19-seat electric aircraft from Heart Aerospace. United hopes to have them in the air by 2026, servicing short routes from its hub airports.
