United’s biometric project debuts in San Francisco

Some passengers on United flights out of San Francisco will be part of a pilot of a biometric system done in partnership with IT solutions provider SITA. The 60-day project involves using photographs of passengers’ faces as their boarding pass using special cameras at touchpoints throughout the airport.
