Urban farmer aims to nix barriers to healthy food access

St. Louis resident Eugenia Alexander, who was inspired to grow her own produce during the pandemic, is now focusing her attention on empowering underserved members in her community to do the same through her newly launched urban farming compound. With the help of other Black women growers, she will be conducting produce and gardening outreach “because who’s going to take care of us if we don’t take care of us?” Alexander said.
