US airlines condemn anti-Asian violence

Alaska Airlines issued a statement denouncing the “an alarming rise in violence against the Asian American Pacific Islander community” and affirmed its “zero-tolerance policy” “for any type of racist behavior or activity” and “commitment to making Alaska an inclusive culture as well as using our public platforms to advance racial equity progress.” Delta Air Lines and UPS also issued statements of solidarity with the AAPI community. “We unequivocally condemn racist sentiments and violent acts against the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities,” UPS said.
