US airlines request DOT meeting to prepare travel demand

US airlines continue to prioritize providing safe and reliable operations for passengers amid high demand this summer travel season. In a letter to Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, A4A President and CEO Nicholas Calio requested a meeting with the Department of Transportation “to discuss how we can work together to better understand FAA’s controller staffing plan for the upcoming July 4th weekend and summer travel season.”
