US airlines support Afghanistan evacuation efforts
US airlines continue to provide operational support to facilitate the government’s mission to transport Afghan evacuees on Civil Reserve Air Fleet flights. As of today, Delta Air Lines completed 18 flights carrying 4,270 passengers with 10 flights remaining. Meanwhile, American Airlines worked with airport operations at Philadelphia International Airport and federal partners to develop a process to expedite arrivals. Atlas Air, United and Hawaiian Airlines are also continuing to provide support under CRAF, while Alaska and Southwest Airlines are providing domestic charter flights for the Department of Defense.
