USTA chief: Strong, uneven recovery needs federal boost

Domestic leisure travel, already near pre-pandemic volume, will continue to lead the industry’s recovery while business and international bookings will expand far more slowly, the US Travel Association said this week in its biannual forecast. The government can help, association President Roger Dow said, by taking a series of steps such as accelerating visa approvals and infusing new funding into the Brand USA marketing vehicle.
