Visitors outpace hotel hiring at San Francisco hotels

Almost half of San Francisco’s roughly 9,000 hotel employees keep waiting to be invited back to work as the city enjoys a resurgence of tourism. The industry insists it is staffing according to need, while travel experts note that recovery of the city’s pandemic-battered lodging market is far from complete.
