Volaris CEO Acquires Additional Shares

Enrique Javier Beltranena Mejicano, CEO of Volaris (Y4, México City International), has increased his stake in the airline by acquiring 1,580,000 Series A shares through the Mexican Stock Exchange (Bolsa Mexicana de Valores – BMV). The transaction is estimated to be worth approximately MXN18.12 million pesos (USD965,000).

This purchase boosts Beltranena’s total holdings to over 12 million shares, up from 10.5 million shares reported in Volaris’ 2023 annual report. The acquisition was conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and the company’s insider trading policy.

As of now, Beltranena is the largest individual shareholder among Volaris’ directors and officers, although Indigo Partners remains the largest overall shareholder with about 18.2% of Series A shares.
