West Hollywood, Calif., law benefits hotel workers

The City of West Hollywood, Calif., has enacted a sweeping hotel worker protection ordinance that provides for personal security devices (panic buttons) and improved compensation and workload limits, among other aspects. The law broadens recall rights for laid-off employees that were mandated in response to the pandemic.
