What does Google’s Android ID move mean for marketers?

Mobile Dev Memo’s Eric Seufert predicts a gradual impact from Google’s recent decision to let Android users opt out of tracking and make their device IDs unavailable, while Martin Price of Vungle believes that Google is following Apple’s lead to a more private ecosystem “in a more industry-friendly way that involves greater collaboration with app developers and tech vendors.” INCRMNTAL CEO Maor Sadra notes that only 5% of people activated an earlier opt-out option in Android, as opposed to 30% of Apple users who chose a similar feature.
