Winter storm affects vaccine shipments
The massive winter storm that affected the Midwest and Texas delayed the delivery of 6 million COVID-19 vaccine doses due to direct weather disruptions and inability of employees to get to work at delivery hubs for UPS, FedEx and McKesson, which packages vaccines and related supplies. FedEx rerouted deliveries through other facilities due to weather in Memphis, and was able to deliver vaccines on Feb. 20 to locations that had the capability to receive them.
