World aviation body sets 2050 net-zero emissions goal

The International Civil Aviation Organization, the United Nations’ aviation body, has agreed to support the goal of reaching net-zero emissions in aviation by 2050. “[The agreement] builds upon the notable progress we have made in recent decades and will prevent a patchwork of global measures,” said Airlines for America.
